E & P // Clonabreany House

Elaine and Patrick are somewhat of a dream couple to photograph; super laid back, easy going, have a great sense of style and, to top it all off, brought along their dog! Elaine is a fashion buyer for Primark, so her sense of style and eye for detail is well-trained. And it was evident in their perfectly-planned wedding. Take a look through for lots of dreamy inspiration!

Their ceremony took place in St. Brigid’s Church in Old Castle and reception in Clonabreany House in Meath. And although their wedding was on Irish soil, their love story took them all over the world. The couple dated in their teens, but eventually went their separate way and Patrick moved to Australia after college. They kept in touch and reconnected for a holiday to Dubai. Shortly after, Patrick moved home and the two have been together ever since.

“We spent 18 months planning the wedding. Elaine took the lead on it straight after the engagement, we ticked off the big things in the first month to make sure we secured the vendors we really loved. Our photographer was so important to us and we found Claire as we were scrolling through the pages of Confetti magazine. When she said she was available we were so delighted and we really couldn’t be happier with our pictures.” Patrick says. Awww! : )

“Once we had our photographer, band, videographer, hair and makeup sorted everything else fell into place gradually along the way and I enjoyed every minute of the planning,” says Elaine. She chose B&G Weddings videography, who are amazing to work alongside. Carla Rose at The Space did hair and makeup was done by Lisa Shannon. The Bentley Boys kept everyone dancing during the reception, and Catherine Byrne did the church music.

“My favourite part about the planning was the styling of the day. I spent a long time planning our flowers, table centerpieces and stationary for the day and was so happy with how everything turned out,” says Elaine, who worked with  VP Flowers and Una Leonard, 2210 Patisserie on flowers and the cake. Stationery and signage was from Minted.com and Etsy. As an extra special touch, illustrations were done as wedding favours by the talented Linda Byrne.

“Saying yes to the dress really was the hardest part, I had something in my mind that I wanted and it’s so difficult when you can’t find the perfect one. I knew I would never walk into a bridal boutique and randomly find “the one” so a lot of research was key. I eventually found a dress online that ticked all the boxes, it wasn’t available anywhere in Europe at the time as it was new season but Kate the owner of Ivory & Pearl who stocked the designer kept me updated constantly on it’s pending arrival and as soon as it was in I travelled to her boutique and my decision was made”.

Elaine wore the Jane Hill from Ivory and Pearl, along with Prada shoes. Her vintage-style headpiece was by Lori Muldoon and veil was from Visionary Veils. All of the bridesmaids’ dresses were from Reiss, and the groomswear came from Statement Menswear. Finally, their rings came from Bespoke Diamonds.

The bride was even kind enough to leave me a review on my Facebook page, which is always lovely to get!
”Claire was amazing to work with and she is such a talented photographer. Claire made us feel so at ease on the day and captured our wedding so beautifully. We really can not thank Claire enough for our wedding photographs, we were absolutely blown away by them and love every single one. We couldn’t recommend Claire enough and will cherish our photos forever.”

Awh, thanks Elaine! This was a pleasure to shoot!
