I was so excited a few months ago when Waterlily Weddings got in touch to ask if I would be available to photograph an intimate elopement in Howth. I'm so glad I was.
Samantha & James, all the way from Chicago, had initially been planning to honeymoon in Ireland after their wedding in the US, but decided that a big wedding simply wasn't for them and made the decision to elope alone to Ireland.
With the help of Stephanie from Waterlily Weddings to organise it, they had a beautiful ceremony on the cliffs at Howth, reciting their vows against the backdrop of the Irish sea and sunny blue skies. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and it was so special to be a part of a ceremony that was just the couple, the celebrant, and me.
Following the ceremony and portraits, they stopped off at the 16th century Abbey Tavern in Howth where they had a go at pulling their own pints of Guinness, and enjoying some vintage whiskey and bubbly. They ended the day with their meal at Clontarf Castle.
Here is a taster below of their special day, enjoy!
